BushCo is after Google Searches

Fortunately, Google is putting up a fight. The Fed alledges their request is to fight child pornography, but, perhaps they should start by cleaning up their own backyard. Published pornographers include: Scooter Libby(New Yorker article), Bill O'Reilly, Lynne Cheney, William Safire, Gordon Libby and others. To realize that all of them felt compelled to actually publish they're sexual fantasies is just hard to fathom. As they all toot 'moral abstinence' and claim to promote 'anti-pornography campaigns,' the depth of their hypocrisy just falls away into a bottomless abyss. Sorry for the drama.

"The government's move in the Google case, however, is different in its aims. Rather than seeking data on individuals, it says it is trying to establish a profile of Internet use that will help it defend the Child Online Protection Act, a 1998 law that would impose tough criminal penalties on individuals whose Web sites carried material deemed harmful to minors. Not sure why the DoJ needs to bolster an argument in a case that has already been settled by the Supreme Court. The lower court's ruling on the COPA injunction was upheld by SCOTUS 2004. Shouldn't that be the end of it?

WILL SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN!

Oh, nevermind me.

For a corporate giant, Google is not nearly as evil as it could be. Good for them!
